BY CAR By motorway you can take the A10 and way out by Rapallo exit. Rapallo is a nice town 2,5 kilometers away from S. Margherita. Having some time it is possible go out by Recco exit (at West) or by Chiavari (.at East). The short route on the coast, the ancient Via Aurelia, will offer unforgettable sightseeing on the sea in a stretch that winds the thypical ligurian patch.
BT PLANE By international airport Cristoforo Colombo by motorway A10 (toll Genoa Airport) you can reach A 12 towards Livorno, exit at Rapallo and then carry on to S. Margherita Ligure, Portofino.
BY TRAIN You can go down at S. Margherita Ligure, portofino Station. Some trains covering long routes dont stop there. In this case it should be better to stop at Rapallo or at Chiavari.
BY SEA Genoa harbour is closed to motorway (toll Genoa-West Genova-Ovest) and to railway (Porta Principe Station) by which you can reach S. Margheritas easily. In some periods of the year, you can reach S. Margherita with a boat service available in the harbour and you can sail to S. Margherita alongside the evocative mount of Portofinos promontory.
